Utah offering free STD screening, limited time only!
September 21, 2006
The State of Utah is currently offering free gonorrhea and chlamydia testing this week, September 18-22. Apparently, the Utah Department of Health noticed an increase in cases of sexually transmitted diseases throughout the State. I'm thinking some other States need to follow Utah's lead, and be more active in their combating their own respective health statistics. Or better yet, let's get a bus like the Red Cross and hit the road!.. ![]()

Men who sleep with men (MSM), or Neo-heterosexual
September 20, 2006
According to Reuters.com, a survey of approximately 4,000 New York men found that of those who were self-described heterosexuals, about 10% had exclusively slept with men in the past year. Why is this important? According to Reuters:
In general, self-described heterosexuals, whether they had sex with men or not, had fewer sexual partners than men who said they were homosexual. However, self-described straight men who had sex with other men were less likely than gay men to have had an HIV test recently or to use condoms.
All the more reason to be more inquisitive about your partners sexual history. If you are, or plan on having sex with someone, its imperative that you know their sexual history. If that's still not enough for you, get tested together! ..
