Poem, Life or Death

August 07, 2006

One day she met this guy that she had a natural attraction to.
He was so fine she did not know what to do.
The way he looked at her made her feel so sweet.
When he kisses her it knocked her off her feet.
Days and weeks passed by and they became closer and closer.
To her he was the only one.
To him she was one of many under the sun.

They were together for only a year.
Something happened to her and it was something she had
always feared. He was cheating on her with a woman and a man.
One of them had AIDS but she did not know what hand fate had
dealt her. The angel of death was right behind her back.
It was only a couple of weeks before she would know all the facts.

She went to get the results of her AIDS test.
It turned out to be positive and her life changed completely.
Her days grew shorter.
The lightness of her life turned to darkness.
He disappeared leaving her feeling like her life was over.
While he went in to lay with others up under the covers…
Spreading this disease to un-suspecting males and females with no remorse.
That is why you should wait before you have sexual intercourse.

You never know whom the person is that you are with.
You never know what you will get from someone you really
do not know. How far well you go?
Are you willing to risk your life for a moment of pleasure?
Or will you stop and think before you take that next step?
Whatever you decide could mean life or death.
