LivetoKnow finally goes Live!
July 26, 2006
For those who don't know, Livetoknow is produced by the Evancole Foundation Incorporated. We are a nonprofit organization with one mission: To get the word out to all college students about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Especially, African-American students, because according to statistics, they are more likely than any other demographic to contract a sexually transmitted disease in the United States.
So now you are probably asking yourself, what makes Livetoknow any different from all the other websites out there? First, the site isn't run by some 57 year old guy on the 10th floor of a hospital. It isn't owned by a multi-million dollar organization that’s only interested in a tax write-off. It’s run by college students (and recent grads), for college students. And we want to let you know about the lifestyle choices that can change your life. We want to bring you every point of view, from A to Z, so the next time you are faced with a decision, you can make an informed decision - not a decision based on just whatever happens. So stay tuned!
